I am a researcher interested in analyzing topics of Work and Organizational Psychology, such as stress, mental overload, well-being, adopting a multidisciplinary approach which combines Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and in particular Human-Robot Interaction, to the analysis of psychophysiological indices, using advanced wearable devices, and the user experience. Besides, I conduct research in the domain of Ambient Assisted Living, collaborating on the design, development, and evaluation of smart environments and technologies, their control interfaces, based on the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm, that support in daily life people with disabilities, elderly, and their caregivers. Finally, I am collaborating on a project concerning the design and development of salubrious and safe environments to face health crises (i.e., Covid-19 pandemic). In 2005, I graduated in General and Experimental Psychology (i.e., thesis topic: non-permanent lesions of mice’s olfactory mucosa and behavioral changes) conducting the research activities at the Department of Neurophysiology of the University of Padova (Supervisors: Prof. Mascetti, Cavaggioni, Mucignat). In 2010, I got my Ph.D. in Cognitive Science at the Department of Developmental and Socialization Psychology (DPSS) of University of Padova (Supervisor: Prof. Dell’Acqua). During the Ph.D. I studied attention, visual short-term memory, visual masking, and the psychological refractory period, exploiting techniques such as electroencephalographyand near-infrared spectroscopy. I spent one year during the Ph.D. (2007-2008) at the Université de Montréal (Supervisor: Prof. Jolicœur). From 2010 to 2013, I was a post-doc fellow at the DPSS, studying the multimedia learning using the eye tracker (Supervisor: Prof.ssa Mason). From 2013 to 2019, I was a post-doc fellow (first at the HIT Interdepartmental Center and then at the Department of General Psychology, DPG, of University of Padova) doing research mainly in HCI and Work and Organizational Psychology (Supervisor: Prof. Gamberini). I collaborated on different European (i.e., H2020, FET) and National (i.e., POR-FERS, FSE) projects. From 2019 to 2022, I did research and teaching activities as a researcher (RTDa) at the DPG. I like reptiles, sports (Krav Maga e Calisthenics), design, fixed-gear bikes, vinyl, and rock music.
