Full Professor, Psychobiology, Department of General Psychology, University of Padova.

His main research interest lies in the psychobiology of psychoses (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression); cortical plasticity in neurological and psychiatric disorders, including the study of psychostimulants and cognitive enhancers in different populations (young adults, adults, normal and pathological elders).

His main research interest lies in the psychophysiology of emotions. Specifically, his PhD project is focused on the study of the psychophysiological reactions to emotion-eliciting film clips, using a wide range of techniques (EEG, HR, HRV, EMG, fMRI).

His main research interest lies in ecological and situational techniques (i.e. experience sampling, wearable sensors) to assess the psychophysiological determinants of work stress.  His work involves also the analysis of wearable technologies reliability and the efficacy of biofeedback training for stress management.
