Psychologist, Ph.D. in Psychological Sciences (University of Padova), expert in psychology of aging (Second-Level Short-Specialization degree in Gerontological Psychology, University of Padova), member of the Psychology of Aging Service (Centro di Ateneo dei Servizi Clinici Universitari Psicologici- SCUP, University of Padova).

I am interested in studying age-related and individual differences between young and older adults’ core cognitive mechanisms (e.g. working memory) and complex cognitive abilities (e.g. spatial cognition), which have a key role in everyday functioning. I am also interested in designing and assessing the short- and long-term efficacy of cognitive interventions for the prevention and promotion of an active aging among the older adult population, as well as of cognitive stimulation programs for supporting cognitive functioning and promoting quality of life in people with dementia. In this regard, I am interested in examining to what extent individual characteristics might influence the benefits provided by the intervention.
