Comparative Cognition Lab

Our research aims to investigate the origins of mind and cognitive processes through experimental behavioural studies on different animal models. We try to highlight the cognitive peculiarities of animal cognition using original and innovative methodologies or experimental designs.
Our research work is situated within the field of Animal and Comparative Cognition and is mainly focused on the domestic chick (Gallus gallus) and invertebrate species, such as jumping spiders (Phidippus regius, Menemerus semilimbatus, Philaeus chrysops), mantis (Hyerodula membranacea) and ants (Lasius niger).
