Description
Our studies are within the field of Comparative Psychology and Animal Cognition. Our aim is to investigate the origins of mind and of the cognitive processes through behavioural non-invasive experiments. Our subjects are domestic chicken chicks (Gallus gallus). Our methods include familiarization/imprinting procedures and the observation of spontaneous preferences. Our lines of research range from perceptual abilities to spatial and numerical abilities, to social cognition.
